LectroTreat vs Corona Treaters

Unlike typical corona treating systems, the suppressed spark system does not use high frequency operating at 50/60HZ. It is far safer for employees in a plant operation, and close proximity to an electrode is not required.


Corona Treaters

Total uniform 360 degree treatment of three dimensional parts. Treatment only where properly adjusted corona discharge comes in contact with the part.
No heat damage to the part being treated. Little or no heat added while treating. High temperature corona can melt, burn, disfigure the part.
Parallel surface treatment of  the part with the electrical discharge, no damage to part surface. Perpendicular surface treatment of the parts, with the electrical discharge, pin holes can occur.
No personnel safety hazards with high voltage. Less than .001 amps in the electrical discharge. High power and current.
No set up when switching parts to be treated. Extensive set up required when changing parts to be treated as well as changing configured electrodes & conforming ground.
Simple installation, only electrical and 6” exhaust hook up needed, no fixturing. Fixturing required to insure corona discharge is in contact with area needing treatment.  Separate electrodes required for each individual treating area & Grounds.
Oriented or bulk feed, in line or off line operation. Oriented parts treating only.
Low frequency, 50-60 HZ operation. High frequency electrical discharge, possible interference with electronic/PLC/Computer operation, possible personnel hazard with those personnel wearing pace makers.
No electrodes to frequently replace or burn out. Electrodes have limited life span and must be replaced on a periodic basis.
Self contained humidity control, ambient humidity has no effect on treatment. Ambient humidity conditions can effect the quality of the treatment.
Efficient operation, low power consumption. High power consumption with multiple configured electrodes.
